Kristy Williams’ introduction to the world of personal finance was via a job advertisement for candidates with accounting experience. “I was a math major with minors in Statistics and Business, so I thought I’d give it a shot,” says Kristy. Sure enough, she had what the Charlotte-based financial firm sought. Kristy was “good with numbers” and would be able to generate the reports clients needed to better understand their financial positions. She was hired as a client service representative and stayed with her team for close to 16 years, despite a series of mergers and acquisitions.
In 2012, Kristy joined Rhyne Financial, where she continues to leverage her attention to details and numbers. As a Financial Services Professional, Kristy is responsible for investment transactions, client service, 401(k) and SIMPLE IRA retirement plans, and managing the myriad of details associated with modeling scenarios in comprehensive financial planning cases. In addition to her primary role in supporting the financial advisors and their clients, Kristy is also knowledgeable on the insurance side of the business and can assist her colleague, Stephanie Cheripka, when needed. She admits that what she enjoys most is to “learn, learn, learn - anything I can expand upon, to help take care of and better serve our clients.”
On a personal front, Kristy is happy to be back in her hometown again, where she knows and is known by many. “It’s nice to work for a smaller firm after being in the corporate world for so long – our firm is well-rounded and we are able to be available to our clients on a very personal level,” she says.
Kristy resides in Lincolnton with her husband, Patrick, with their two daughters. As a family they enjoy going on cruises, and going to the beach or “any place warm.”
